My Favorite Golf Courses

Chambers Bay, 2024 Pacific Coast Amateur

Golf has taken me to some amazing places across North America. As a college golfer, I have gotten to play some unbelievable venues. Some of my favorite golf courses are on the West Coast of the United States. It is hard for me to name a few specific courses that are my favorite, but there have definitely been a few that stand out to me.

One of my favorite courses I have played is Chambers Bay in Washington State. Chambers Bay is a famous golf course that hosted a US Open in 2015. This course not only had beautiful views, but was a very hard test. The fairways and greens were extremely sloped. This makes golf very interesting, and you can bring out the creative side of your golf game. You’re not always aiming at the pin, but at hills to let your ball feed down to the hole. Getting to play this course for the 2024 Pacific Coast Amateur was an absolute treat.

Another one of my favorite courses is Spyglass Hill in Monterey, CA. This course hosts the PGA tour once a year, so you know it has to be another good test. Although not the longest golf course, its tight fairways and small sloped greens make it hard to navigate. Not to mention there are beautiful ocean view holes. I played here a couple of times, most recently with my father for the NCGA four ball championship. It is hard to beat playing such an amazing golf course a couple days in a row with my dad.

Although these might be two of my favorite courses, there are plenty more courses that I have loved playing. Golf is such a great game that has taken me to amazing places. I have had countless memorable experiences, and I can’t wait to make more. Some courses I look forward to playing eventually include Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, and Old Greenwood.
